Wiggle Room is an early stage startup with a mission to solve the greatest challenge of our generation: building a dynamic and durable early childcare system that works for parents, providers, and children. We are building the most flexible childcare product on the market—specifically designed to connect families with non-traditional work schedules to licensed, reliable, high-quality care.

We are reimagining the childcare market, which today sits at $90B but is positioned to double with the landmark Build Back Better investment. We are a Public Benefit Corporation with a social mission to uplift communities that have been overlooked and exploited for too long. We see this as part of broader reparative and restorative vision for the future.

We already have a base of 130 small daycare businesses on our platform—and we're just getting started.

🗺️ A Bit About Our Journey

• Wiggle Room is led by Founder and CEO, Jaime-Jin Lewis (2021 David Prize winner, #Care100 Most Influential People in Care, 12+ yrs experience in education and care space, daughter of an early childhood educator).
• Wiggle Room was conceived in the Blue Ridge Labs fellowship in 2018 and won a spot in the Catalyst Incubator in 2019.
• When the pandemic hit New York City in March 2020, the product work was put on hold to create #WorkersNeedChildcare, NYC's only hotline dedicated to supporting essential workers to navigate the ever-changing childcare landscape during the pandemic.
• In 2021, a new vision of what's possible by focusing on home-based childcare emerged and Jaime-Jin went to work conducting research, running tests, building an MVP using no-code products, and pulling together resources. In the past six months, Wiggle Room has raised over $300K in backing from The Workers Lab, Camelback Ventures, The Roddenberry Fellowship, and, as mentioned above, Jaime-Jin is a winner of the prestigious David Prize.
